This is a
class role play and trading game activity built around an
Interactive White-Board. (We can bring our own if
necessary.)
Revolution
studies are usually offered as an option for senior students, or as
an elective for one or two classes at middle school level. As
such this presentation is usually a single person presentation to a
small group over one or two periods. It is only rarely
included as part of one of our medieval incursion day programs, but
can be combined with a Renaissance or Gender Studies or Different
Cultures topic to make a half day for level 9-12
students.
Examining the
concept, nature, and frequency of revolutions, this topic is built
around an Interactive White-Board (we can bring our own if
necessary), video clips, props, scenario's and role
plays.
We have
designed this topic to have 'plug in' components relating to
various revolutionary streams, and you can choose from English
Civil War, American Revolution; French Revolution(s); South
American; 1848; Russian Revolution; Post WW1 Europe; China; Cuba;
North Africa; De-Colonisation; Muslim; or an overview of the lot.
(Some schools want us to concentrate on their preferred few, and
others want us to cover everything they are not
covering!)
