Research
Our ideas
have come from many places, and we would like to acknowledge
several of them.
Here are some of the English Language sites which we have referred
to in this website.
(If you have other good ones you wold like us to add, please send
an e-mail.)
The local
educational sites referred to on this site include:
www.htav.asn.au
http://home.vicnet.net.au/~earlyart/
The images of
ancient world research in this site are taken from:
www.museumoflondon.org.uk/
www.colchestermuseums.org/
www.camulos.com/virtual/castle.htm
The medieval
European images in this site are taken from the above,
and:
www.jorvik-viking-centre.co.uk/
www.mountfitchetcastle.com/

The medieval
Japan site referred to is:
www.city.narita.chiba.jp/english/welcome/sightseeguide/05_bosa_mura.html
The other
sample interactive references (which have little relevance to our
period) include:

www.tankmuseum.org

sources of resources in Australia

resources in general, try:

Resources
we use regularly...
We subcontract
the following regularly, and highly recommend their
work.
Cirque
Mystique for juggling and
other circus skills.
Early Arts
Guild for Brass
Rubbing and Musical Performances.
What we don’t
provide…
We are
teachers who do education programs.
We are NOT re-enactments who walk around talking 'foorsoothly'. We
only rarely do public entertainment displays, or performances for
large groups, and usually only then if they are educational in
nature - such as the State Library Illuminated Manuscript
Exhibition. (Though if we can't help you ourselves, we can often
recommend those who do.)
If you are
seeking weddings, or television work, or your school wants just
a show and tell lecture to a large group (rather than our
focus on small group education sessions), then these companies may
be able to help:
Dance and
Music Performance presentations, the Early Arts Guild: http://home.vicnet.net.au/~earlyart/
Weddings and
public displays:
www.yoretimes.websyte.com.au
Film props and
public displays: www.historyupclose.com
Re-enactment
Groups….
There are many
recreation and re-enactment groups, covering many historical
periods.
Here is the most chld friendly and probably the biggest of the
Medieval re-enactment groups available in Victoria:
